Dr. Jose-Joel Gonzalez Barbosa was born in Guanajuato, Mexico, in 1974. He has two master degree, the first one was received in Electrical Engineering from the University of Guanajuato, Mexico in 1998, and the second one was received in Signal, Image and, Acoustics from National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France in 2000. He received his PhD. degree in Computer Science and Telecommunications from National Polytechnic Institute of Toulouse, France, in 2004. He is currently an Associate Professor at the CICATA-IPN, Mexico, where he teaches courses in Computer Vision, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. His research interests include perception and mobile robotics. He has publised 30 articles in JCR journals, 9 articles in international journals, and 24 articles in national and international conferences. He has been a technology advisor to ICYT-DF and participated in related industrial projects for: Infraestructura Vial S.A. de C.V., CONDUMEX, MABE y Biomettr ́ıa Aplicada S.A. de C.V
