Edgar Tapia-Hernández has been Professor at Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Azcapotzalco in Mexico City since 2006. He has done a research stay at the Ecole Polytechnique of Montreal and he has been visiting scholar at the University of California in San Diego. He is member of the Mexican System of Researchers since 2013. He is a member of the Committee for the Steel Structures of the Mexico City Building Code; member of the Technical Committee of the Mexican Institute of Steel Construction and member of the board of the Mexican Society of Earthquake Engineering. He has published more than 60 scientific publications.
