I am Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at the Universitat Politecnica de Valencia (Spain). I am vice-president and chair of the Technical Activities Committee of the International Association for Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS). My main research interests are focused on computational aspects, developments and applications of very flexible and bending-active structures. I have also been active in the following fields: computational modelling of carbon nanotubes, design of movable structures and applications of special concrete to civil engineering structures. I have also participated in the design and supervision of a number of structures and bridges.
