Rogelio de J. Portillo-Velez got the B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering at Univerisad Autnoma Metropolitana, Mexico in 2006. He got the Electrical
Engineering master degree at Cinvestav–IPN in 2008. In 2012, he obtained a scholarship from the German Academic Interchange Service (DAAD) to work at the
Automatic Control Engineering department (LSR) at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. After receiving the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cinvestav–IPN, he
joined the Universidad Veracruzana in 2015 as a full time professor. His interests are multi-robot systems, grasping and manipulation, teleoperation, haptics and optimization.
