Xiaoge Xu (PhD, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) is the founding Director of Institute for Mobile Studies and Mobile Studies Summer School and the founding chair of International Mobile Storytelling Congress and Mobile Studies Congress, University of Nottingham Ningbo China. Since founding Mobile Studies International in 2012, he has been passionately promoting and conducting mobile studies globally. He has been serving as the editor-in-chief of IGI Global Advances in Wireless and Telecommunication Technology book series since 2013. He has more than 27 years of rich international teaching, researching and leading experience after working in six different universities (University of Nottingham, Xiamen University Malaysia, Botswana International University of Science and Technology, Nanyang Technological University, City University of Hong Kong, and China School of Journalism) in five countries and regions (China, Malaysia, Botswana, Singapore and Hong Kong). In teaching, he has developed his own innovative teaching approach, that is, 3C+ABC+3E learning (3C=Curious, Critical and Creative, ABC=Adaptive, Blended and Collaborative, 3E=Engaging, Empowering, Enlightening). In his research, he has been following his own approach called 3M+MMR (3M=Mapping, Measuring and Modelling plus Mixed Method Research). As an academic leader, his leadership style can be summarized by 3E+PIC (3E=Engaging, Empowering and Enlightening plus PIC: Passionate, Innovative and Creative). In short, he can be best described as “exploring the mobile world while enjoying a mobile life” to quote his own words.
