Los materiales que se habían mantenido a un 65% de humedad relativa exhibían valores de resistencia mecánica similares, y sin embargo desde el punto de vista de la durabilidad la muestra ternaria presenta un valor de coeficiente de succión capilar inferior. Este efecto se puede deber al efecto filler que las adiciones inactivas hacen siempre en el cemento, bloqueando el acceso a poros, y por tanto mejorando la durabilidad de los materiales preparados con ellas [17]. Esta mejora no se había observado cuando se estudia la durabilidad relacionada con el ingreso de cloruros [11], cuestión totalmente esperable, ya que el filler calizo no hará nunca un efecto de retención química de cloruros, como si hacen las adiciones activas.
