2018 ha sido un año importante en el campo de la visualización de información. El objetivo de este trabajo es revisar algunas de las visualizaciones innovadoras desarrolladas a lo largo de ese año. Como ya propusimos en las últimas dos ediciones del Anuario ThinkEPI, para abordarlas se han organizado en tres grupos. Por un lado, se presenta una selección de aquellas que han destacado por incorporar novedades conceptuales y nuevas propuestas de visualización. A continuación, se muestran otras que han llamado la atención por la importancia del conjunto de datos que han visualizado. Por último, se destacan algunos de los avances tecnológicos que se han llevado a cabo dentro de la disciplina en 2018.
