Static and dynamic analysis of steel and wooden structures with generic sections and variable inertia in parabolic vouts corns

The present work aims to carry out comparative analyzes (dynamic and static) in generic cross-sections with variable inertias in parabolic corbels. For this, a computational program was developed in the language FORTRAN 90/95 via the Finite Element Method, and its results were compared with those found in the literature. Therefore, through the displacement, acceleration and velocity data found in the analyses, it was possible to verify the influence of dynamic loading on the structural behavior of beams and frames. The damping of the structure, called proportional damping or Rayleigh damping, was taken into account, including the properties of the materials used, which in this research were steel and wood. The analyzed element has generic cross-sections with the inertia varying in parabolic corbel along its length, so that they can be used in increasingly innovative architectural projects.
Finally, the formulation corresponding to the Three-Dimensional Finite Element was implemented, which allows the static analysis of the structure with the hexahedral finite element with eight nodes (H8), hexahedral finite element with twenty nodes (H20).

MACHINE LEARNING METHODS FOR EVALUATING HETEROGENEOUS EFFECTS IMPACTS AND THEIR APPLICATION TO ASSESSMENT AND FORECASTING CHANGES IN THE PRODUCTIVITY OF INDIVIDUAL FIRMS AS A RESULT OF THEIR EXPORT MARKETS

It is widely known that exporters are, on average, larger firms
than exporters. In other words, the larger firm is more likely to
be an exporter. What caused it? A natural explanation can be offered with
positions of the latest theory of international trade, laid down in the classic article [1].
Within the framework of this theory, the main factor determining the entry of companies into export
markets, are the fixed costs associated with it. Accordingly, those companies
which can capture a large share of the foreign market after entering it, with
other equal, are more likely to decide that the resulting
additional profit compensates for one-time fixed costs. And the ability
capture market share within the relevant models is directly related to
marginal cost, efficiency and productivity of the firm. In the same time
we can expect more productive firms to grow faster. Tem
in this way we can explain the relationship between the size of a company and its export
status, but we also get a more important relationship - between the export status
company and its efficiency, and this pattern is observed in practice.
Indeed, if we accept the considerations described above, then we expect that more
manufacturing firms will become exporters more often.
At the same time, there is another point of view - that the company's entry into export markets
can lead to an increase in its efficiency and productivity through the mechanism
"learning through export". After entering the export markets, the company
forced to make more investments in new technologies, new business practices.
In addition, the presence of external relations can greatly facilitate borrowing and exchange
experience and technology. This effect can be a significant practical
interest, since increasing the productivity of enterprises can serve as an important
source of economic growth and ensure the development of Russia. Accordingly, in

The report presents an analysis of modern approaches to collective
regulation of the digital economy, existing and emerging mechanisms
its collective regulation, as well as the potential of these mechanisms for
promoting the implementation of Russia's priorities
The analysis showed that the leading developed countries - members of the OECD, the EU and the "Group
twenty" have significant advantages in strengthening their influence in

to facilitate the implementation of Russia's priorities, strengthening

This article presents the main results of research on the topic of The research of the economic features of the corporate profit tax in the Russian Federation in the 2010s. The paper provides an overview of the international practice of the evolution of corporate profit taxation. Corporate profit tax is not optimal, since it distorts the decisions made by the company: about the source of funding (if interests on loans can be deducted from corporate profit tax base), about dividend payments (if the classical system with double taxation of distributed profits is applied), investment decisions, etc. In the framework of this work, the economic effects of distortions caused by the corporate profit tax in the Russian Federation and methods of their minimization will be analyzed, and the estimation of the scale of this distortions will be provided.

conducted by the Center for Socialization and Personalization of Education for Children FIRO
RANEPA in 2010. The materials present an analysis of foreign and domestic
research on predictive factors in the development of children from 3-4 to 10-12 years old with ASD;
the criteria for the effectiveness of preschool education for children with ASD are described as a factor
influencing the choice of the variant of the adapted basic general education program
students with ASD.
Special attention is paid to the complex of diagnostic methods,
which makes it possible to predict the variant of the educational trajectory of children with ASD in
age from 3-4 to 10-12 years.
Scientific research materials are addressed to scientists,
undergraduates and graduate students, can be used to improve the quality
correctional-educational and/or diagnostic process in any
educational organizations providing comprehensive support for children 3-4
up to 10-12 years old with ASD

Related care for the elderly in the long-term care

This paper presents the results of an analysis of in-depth interviews with people
caring for their elderly relatives. In Russia, as in most
other countries, it is the relatives who bear the main burden of caring for
the elderly and people with disabilities, which cannot but
affect their social and economic status in one way or another. Since 2018
year in Russia, a system of long-term care is being introduced, within which a number of
important principles for the organization of social services, including the development of
a set of support measures for relatives caring for their loved ones
(training schools, day centers, equipment rentals). Person support,
employed in related care is extremely important, given that for people of working age
age, the main problem is the difficulty of combining the assistance provided and
paid work, in connection with which they often have to make a choice in favor of
reduction of working hours or complete refusal to work, which affects not only their
income, but also complicates the search for a job in the future and reduces the likelihood of returning
to the labor market. In addition, this type of long-term care can lead to
increase in stress levels, which can potentially lead to a deterioration in physical
and mental health. In international studies on the situation
caregivers of their relatives and friends with disabilities
health opportunities or at older ages, the main finding is that countries
where the main type of care for the elderly and disabled is informal
home, measures should be implemented, primarily designed to ensure the preservation
labor income of caregivers, as well as a decrease in financial,
physical and psychological costs of care. An analysis of the interview showed that all
respondents showed interest in the long-term care system and its individual
elements. At the same time, families that are relatively well-off in social terms are less likely to
express the need for additional assistance to their relatives. Partly -
because they consider it their duty to take care of their loved one, on the other hand,
a certain role is played by the norms accepted in society and deliberately negative attitudes
to any institutional form of long-term care outside the family. results
this R&D can be used in the interests of the Ministry of Labor and Social
protection of the Russian Federation and the social protection authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation for adoption

The work contains a brief overview of the research directions of migration
youth in the world and in Russia, and in its main part is devoted to the analysis of directions and
structural characteristics of youth migration – in general and within Russia.
Rosstat data on individual migration flows (intra-regional,
interregional, international) in the context of 1-year-old and 5-year-old age groups in general
for 2011-2018, in the context of individual regions and areas - for 2016-2018, in
in the context of municipalities - for 2016-2018. The main regions have been identified -
centers of attraction for young people, as well as municipalities receiving
the most intensive influx of migrants is at the age of 15-19 and 20-29. The work took into account
modern problems of statistics of long-term migration, incompleteness or
redundancy of accounting for migration in certain ages.

Model for assessing the needs of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in financing health care system, taking into account the demographic, epidemiological and geographical condition of the territories

To improve the quality of health care delivery and ensure its accessibility, a number of countries use health care financing models based on determining the population's need for health care. This approach to health care financing has an advantage over general financing, in which resources are evenly distributed across different regions, regardless of the actual need for health care. The need for health care differs between different regions of country, so need-based funding helps ensure that patients have access to health care at the right amount, at the right time and in the right place. Based on analysis of Russian specifics, it is possible to form a list of indicators for use in Russia at the moment, as well as to identify a direction for a prospective assessment if there is access to information: a standardized mortality rate of the population of pre-retirement age, gender and age structure of the population, morbidity by main classes diseases that are the main cause of death, the structure of health care consumption. In this regard, in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, it is advisable to introduce approaches to the distribution of resources based on the need for medical care, as well as to improve the system for collecting and recording data in the health care system.

Analysis of institutional and financial and economic aspects of forming an effective model of health care

FIBRE4YARDS: Fibre Composite Manufacturing Technologies for the Automation and Modular Construction in Shipyards

FIBRE4YARDS project aims to improve the competitiveness of small and medium European shipyards working with Fibre Reinforced Polymers (FRP). To this extent, the project expects to bring new automated cost-efficient production technologies to the shipyard (adaptive moulds, ATP/AFP, 3D printing, curved pultrusion profiles, hot stamping, innovative composite connections) from other competitive industrial sectors, and to transfer, adapt and combine them to improve FRP shipyards’ production and maintenance.

In order to incorporate all new manufacturing technologies into the ship design, FIBRE4YARDS will develop new advanced computational tools and numerical formulations specially developed to characterize the new procedures. Ship design will also take into account the environmental impact of the materials and manufacturing technologies used, based on a Life Cycle Assessment.

All new production procedures will be implemented in a new Shipyard 4.0 environment which, among other features, will be interconnected thanks to IoT technologies, and will be continuously monitored to ensure high quality processes using a digital twin of the shipyard.

Special care will be taken to ensure that all technologies proposed by FIBRE4YARDS project comply with the actual standards, writing new guidelines when those do not exist, and that can be implemented in European Shipyards smoothly and straightforward. With the proposed approach, shipyards will improve their production capacity and the quality of the ships manufactured, making them more safe and efficient.

BEDYN: development of a methodology to characterize the behaviour of composite structures under dynamic loading

The methodology of design of polymer-based composite structures under static loadings, and even fatigue loads, is quite mature and well stablished. However, for intermediate and high dynamic loading conditions, the methods are still under development and often limited to academic research levels, without any type of standardization. It is crucial to understand how the materials used in the aerospace sector behave under dynamic loadings. Composite materials may exhibit strain rate effects and the analysis tools based on static formulations could be far away from the actual material and structural response, therefore robust and industrial dedicated dynamic tests, analysis and modelling methods are then necessary to design and certify composite airframe structures. This is what the proposed project will deal with. The aim of BEDYN project is to address a methodology to properly characterize the dynamic behaviour up to rupture of thermoset polymer-based composite structures submitted to dynamic loading. BEDYN is a European granted Clean Sky 2 Joint Undertaking (JU).

New advanced manufacturing process for rear fuselage sections of highly integrated aerospace structures

CS2-LPA-IADP-WP1.2.5. Advanced Rear End Manufacturing is an European project, inside of the CleanSky2 research program of the European Union Horizon 2020 (Grant Agreement nº 945583). This work package focuses on design, manufacturing and testing of new technologies for the manufacturing of aeronautical structures, integrating different elements, at the rear end of an aircraft.

The work presented here shows the manufacturing process developed to obtain a full-scale demonstrator of a rear end section of the fuselage in prepreg carbon fiber composite material, integrating stiffeners, contour frames and skin in one-shot. The omega section stiffeners are made by automatic lay-up and forming, integrate them fresh into the demonstrator. The contour frames are also automatically lay-up and formed, carrying out a semi-curing cycle (for which a manufacturing test campaign has been necessary and different curing degree studies). The integration of these semi-cured frames in the demonstrator combines the advantages of a cobonded integration (without rivets) and the simplification of the tools respect to fresh elementals, since the final thickness has already been consolidated. The automatic lay-up of the skin is carried out on a tool where the fresh stiffeners and the semi-cured frames are located. Finally, the curing cyle is done in the autoclave, obtaining the full-scale highly integrated fuselage demonstrator.

All the technologies developed in this demonstrator allow automation within an industrial environment with high production rates.

Design, production and characterization of high performance 3R composites based on dynamic chemistry for the aerospace industry

The objective of the AIRPOXY project is to reduce production and maintenance, repair & operating (MRO) costs of composite parts in aeronautics, by introducing a new family of enhanced thermoset composites that preserve all the advantages of conventional thermosets, while show unprecedented new features such as Re-processability, Repairability and Recyclability. This new generation of composites, called 3R composites, are obtained using dynamic hardeners which create reversible crosslinks in the cured epoxy resin. Once the 3R composite has been produced, the dynamic chemical bonds in the cured resin can be reshuffled under determined external stimulus, such as temperature or exposure to a specific chemical agent.

The study describes the development of a first version of 3R composite that meets the requirements of the aeronautical sector. Firstly the resin has been formulated, then the composite laminates have been produced by Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) and finally their dynamic and mechanical properties have been studied.

Design and manufacture of modular molds for the development of trains composite structures

The success of the European rail system requires cost-efficient passenger trains with high capability and reliability. The development of these high demanding trains involves a concerted effort in improving a comprehensive range of elements. CARBODIN contributes to this effort by combining the research effort along with the future CFM- IP1-01-2019 and the ongoing CFM-IP1-01-2017 projects to manufacture car body shell parts, doors and to improve the interior design of passenger trains.

CARBODIN improves car body shell manufacture by exploring the possibilities offered by composite materials. To this end, CARBODIN advocates for a modular tooling to manufacture a wide range of parts of varying size, leaded by EURECAT. In addition, the proposed process combines different production techniques, automation concepts, introduction of co-cured and co-bonded composite parts and multi-material integrated joints and inserts. Besides, predictive maintenance is reinforced by testing intelligent sensor nodes. Composite materials are also the core idea for cost-efficient doors with reduced LCC. The creation of modular tooling combined with 3D technology is enabling the production of lighter doors with enhanced thermal and acoustic properties in the door and its vicinity.

Lightweight single axle running gear frame

The railway industry seeks to increase the capacity of the railway system, providing flexibility to align capacity and demand, increasing availability, reliability and energy efficiency by reducing the life cycle cost (LCC), improving passenger comfort and increasing the attractiveness of rail transport.

One of the lines of action to tackle the aforementioned challenges is the introduction of new lighter bodies and/or running gear structures, as both of these are among the heaviest components of the train. The potential weight savings (approximately 30 % and 50 %, respectively), and the use of new materials and processes in structures will result in reduced energy consumption, lower inertias, reduced track wear, and increased capacity to carry higher payloads.

This article will present the development of a carbon fiber single axle running gear frame including design, calculation and testing, achieving a 50% reduction in weight while maintaining the performance of current steel structures.

This project is within the Shift2Rail initiative, it is part of PIVOT and PIVOT2 Project. It has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 program under grant agreements 777629 and 881807.

Investigation on the performance of the expansion water seal by using isogeometric analysis with variational inequalities for the frictional contact

In this study, IGA is introduced into the performance analysis of the expansion water seal for an exact representation of its complex geometrical shape. Firstly, the incremental equilibrium equations used in the large deformation analysis are derived for the IGA discretization model based on the updated Lagrangian formulation. The contact forces are treated as a special kind of traction, which results in a simple expression of the equilibrium equations. Then, through the investigation of the contact conditions, the contact force is verified to be solution of two box-constrained variational inequalities with respect to the normal and tangential contact conditions, respectively. Furthermore, the incremental equilibrium equations for all components of the water seal system and the variational inequalities for all contacts between the components are assembled together and reformulated as a global variational inequality, which is resolved by using the Extra-gradient method. Ultimately, the new method is applied in the performance comparison of two optional expansion water seals, in which the capability and precision of the proposed method are investigated. Results verify that the proposed method is effective in the numerical simulation of the expansion water seal and has a higher precision than the traditional FEM under the same conditions.

Spatio-temporal point process analysis of Mexico State wildfires

Wildfires are an example of a phenomenon that can be investigated using point process theory. We analyze public data from the National Forestry Commission. It consists of wildfire records, specifically their coordinates and dates of occurrence in Mexico State from 2010 to 2018. The spatial component was examined, and we found that wildfires tend to cluster. Afterwards, a time series analysis was conducted. This shows that the data comes from a stationary stochastic process. Finally, some spatio-temporal features that demonstrate the point process' regular behavior in space and time were investigated. This research could be a reference to describe wildfire behavior in a specific space and time.

A Lagrangian–Eulerian procedure for the coupled solution of the Navier–Stokes and shallow water equations for landslide-generated waves

This work presents a partitioned method for landslide-generated wave events. The proposed strategy combines a Lagrangian Navier Stokes multi-fluid solver with an Eulerian method based on the Boussinesq shallow water equations. The Lagrangian solver uses the Particle Finite Element Method to model the landslide runout, its impact against the water body and the consequent wave generation. The results of this fully-resolved analysis are stored at selected interfaces and then used as input for the shallow water solver to model the far-field wave propagation. This one-way coupling scheme reduces drastically the computational cost of the analyses while maintaining high accuracy in reproducing the key phenomena of the cascading natural hazard. Several numerical examples are presented to show the accuracy and robustness of the proposed coupling strategy and its applicability to large-scale landslide-generated wave events. The validation of the partitioned method is performed versus available results of other numerical methods, analytical solutions and experimental measures.

Validation of an instrument on safe perinatal practices in the COVID-19 context

Introduction: The care of the pregnant woman, her family and the newborn in the context of a pandemic, is located in a place of vulnerability of rights, due to different dimensions that causes not being able to predict how she will present childbirth and even more if it produces a premature birth, because not all hospital institutions currently comply with the right of childbirth respected and the right of the patient.

Aim: to analyze the internal consistency and reliability of an instrument on safe perinatal practices in the COVID-19 context.

Methods: A descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out in a public institution of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires in the period September-October 2021. The sample consisted of 37 nurses. An instrument composed of 35 items was used that was organized in four dimensions. After applying the data collection instrument in the selected sample, the construct validation was carried out by analyzing the factors and verifying the internal consistency using Cronbach's alpha.

Results: The analysis of internal consistency (reliability) was carried out through Cronbach's Alpha. The descriptive results with the 35 items showed a variance of each item of 4.980; a total variance of 24.088, with a total Cronbach's Alpha of 0.817, showing that the instrument presents internal consistency.

Conclusions: The results show that the proposed instrument has good validity and reliability and that it can be used to evaluate safe perinatal practices in the COVID-19 context.

A Machine Learning-Based Surrogate Model for the Identification of Risk Zones Due to Off-Stream Reservoir Failure

Approximately 70,000 Spanish off-stream reservoirs, many of them irrigation ponds, need to be evaluated in terms of their potential hazard to comply with the new national Regulation of the Hydraulic Public Domain. This requires a great engineering effort to evaluate different scenarios with two-dimensional hydraulic models, for which many owners lack the necessary resources. This work presents a simplified methodology based on machine learning to identify risk zones at any point in the vicinity of an off-stream reservoir without the need to elaborate and run full two-dimensional hydraulic models. A predictive model based on random forest was created from datasets including the results of synthetic cases computed with an automatic tool based on the two-dimensional numerical software Iber. Once fitted, the model provided an estimate on the potential hazard considering the physical characteristics of the structure, the surrounding terrain and the vulnerable locations. Two approaches were compared for balancing the dataset: the synthetic minority oversampling and the random undersampling. Results from the random forest model adjusted with the random undersampling technique showed to be useful for the estimation of risk zones. On a real application test the simplified method achieved 91% accuracy.

Selection of Appropriate Symbolic Regression Models Using Statistical and Dynamic System Criteria: Example of Waste Gasification

In this paper, we analyze the interpretable models from real gasification datasets of the project “Centre for Energy and Environmental Technologies” (CEET) discovered by symbolic regression. To evaluate CEET models based on input data, two different statistical metrics to quantify their accuracy are usually used: Mean Square Error (MSE) and the Pearson Correlation Coefficient (PCC). However, if the testing points and the points used to construct the models are not chosen randomly from the continuum of the input variable, but instead from the limited number of discrete input points, the behavior of the model between such points very possibly will not fit well the physical essence of the modelled phenomenon. For example, the developed model can have unexpected oscillatory tendencies between the used points, while the usually used statistical metrics cannot detect these anomalies. However, using dynamic system criteria in addition to statistical metrics, such suspicious models that do fit well-expected behavior can be automatically detected and abandoned. This communication will show the universal method based on dynamic system criteria which can detect suitable models among all those which have good properties following statistical metrics. The dynamic system criteria measure the complexity of the candidate models using approximate and sample entropy. The examples are given for waste gasification where the output data (percentage of each particular gas in the produced mixture) is given only for six values of the input data (temperature in the chamber in which the process takes place). In such cases instead, to produce expected simple spline-like curves, artificial intelligence tools can produce inappropriate oscillatory curves with sharp picks due to the known tendency of symbolic regression to produce overfitted and relatively more complex models if the nature of the physical model is simple.

The participants were divided into advanced and intermediate groups based on the students' writing skills scores. The results showed that there is a significant difference between Iranian learners with high and medium skill level in the most measured structures in the specifications of the Iranian EFL writing skills test. This study examines three approaches to modeling competition: direct competition, Demsetz competition, and Chamberlin's monopolistic competition. Based on the analysis results, we formulated recommendations aimed at developing competition in the MSW management industry.

This study analyzes different reasons of banking license withdrawals in Russian in the period from January 2013 to September 2020. During this period 454 banks lost their licenses due to economic reasons or laundry activity. Using multinomial logistic regression models we reveal the factors that affect the probability of banking license withdrawal due to one of aforementioned reasons. We also compare quality of forecast generated by our final multinomial model with results of binary version of same model.
