	<description><![CDATA[<p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">Jose Pablo Suarez Rivero. Computer Engineer (1997). Doctor of University (2001) and Full Professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Received in 1998 postgraduate studies at the Institut f&uuml;r Systemsoftware at the Johannes Kepler University, Austria, in the Instituto de Ciencias Exactas de la Universidad de Hidalgo, M&eacute;jico and in the CAD/CAM Center of the Universidad de Holgu&iacute;n, Cuba. In 1998, visiting professor at the Autonomous University of Hidalgo State, Mexico on the degree and Masters in Computer Science, also directing theses and master&#39;s degree in Computer Science. He was Tinsley Oden visiting Fellowship in 2000 from the University of Texas, Austin integrated with the software development group Mesh Generation at the Institute for Computational Engineering and Sciences (ICES). Since 1999 is senior professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria works associatted at the Department of Cartography and Graphic Expression in Engineering. Since 2001 is a member of the Institute of Information and Systems (IUMA.-ULPGC) and since 2012 director of the MAGiC Division (Mathematics, Graphics and Computing).</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;He has co-authored over 35 ISI/JCR/Scopues papers and participated in about 70 national and international conferences. Responsible Research in a dozen&nbsp;national and regional grants in R&amp;D+i. He is organizer of some international events in the ULPGC, for example between 2003 to 2009 of&nbsp;<i>Las Palmas Seminar on Geometry &amp; Graphics in Engineering</i>, and between 2010 and 2012, the I<i>MACS / ISGG Meeting on Applied Scientific Computing and Tools Grid Generation, Approximation and Visualization</i>.&nbsp;</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;He has participated in a dozen competitive R + D + i, highlighting those funded by the &quot;Plan Nacional de I+ D+i 2008-2011&quot; ( MTM2008-05866-C03-02, MTM2005-08441-C02-02), &quot;Programa Estatal de I+D+i orientada a Retos de la Sociedad&quot;&nbsp; (RTC 2014-2258-8) European Commission (Project number FP7-2011 -ICT- FI 285248) and over 10 Contracts and Agreements through Business and Administration.</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;He is also coordinator of the Development Cooperation group&nbsp;<i>Social Innovation and Accessible Technology</i>&nbsp;and the Group of Educational Innovation&nbsp;<i>Graphic Engineering</i>&nbsp;in the ULPGC, which promotes the development of assisted tools for Educational Innovation and Cooperation for Development. In 2013 he was invited as speaker in the Campus Party London.</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;In the area of Industrial Design he has supervised about 110 Academic Projects in the Grade of Industrial Design and Product Development.&nbsp;</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;In recent years he has worked actively in collaboration with members of the Department of Informatic of the ULPGC and of the Technology Institute of Canaries (ITC)&nbsp;in the development of free 3D Geographic Information Systems software through agreements with companies from Canary (Inventia Plus and e-Pyme) and with other national firms as COTESA, Prodevelop and IGO Software.</p><p style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51); font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;From 2012 to 2016, CIO (Chief Operating Officer) - IT Policy Direction- at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Director of the Telef&oacute;nica Chair (2012-present) promoting projects on Social Innovation and Accessible Technology.
