She has a doctorate and a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA. She currently works as a researcher and professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Technological University of Panama, with experience in the field of Electronics and Telecommunications with knowledge of different areas of electronics, as well as the area of ​​telecommunications such as wired and wireless communications systems, security in communications systems, sensor networks and telephony, among others. Dr. Sáez has taught undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as different seminars and workshops in her research area. She is the coordinator of the Research Group on Telecommunications Engineering and Smart Systems Applied to Society (ITSIAS), an active member of the research groups in Mechatronics and a research group for Simulation, Modeling and Analysis of Energy Networks, Technologies and Systems ( SMARTS-E) of the Technological University of Panama, where she collaborates in several research projects supported by the National Secretariat of Science and Technology - SENACYT, including the MOVIDIS project. She is a member of the National Research System of Panama, the Panamanian Association for the Advancement of Science (APANAC) and the President of the IEEE Communications Society-Panama Section and Women in Engineering (WIE)-Panama Section.
