Graduated in Physics at the University of Barcelona. Master's Degree in Environmental and Energetic Engineering and also  graduated in Atmospheric Chemistry and atmospheric modeling.

In the field of public administration, I've participated in training programs in Strategic Management and public-private co-operation (ESADE) and Leadership and Innovation in Public Management (IESE).

Currently,  I'm Director of the Catalan Institute for Energy (ICAEN), the public energy agency of the Government of Catalonia responsible for developing and implementing the Catalan energy policy, especially in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energies.

ICAEN is leading the Catalan agreement for the energy transition, where stands out the following strategic projects: the plan for the deployment of electrical vehicle charging infrastructure in Catalonia (PIRVEC), the working table for boosting the photovoltaic self-consumption, the plan for economic incentives for solar energy storage, as well as the PLUS energy certification for buildings. ICAEN has also coordinated the legislative proposal for road transport electrification promotion measures, admitted by the Bureau of the Spanish Congress.

Since 2011 and until 2016 I was the General Director of Environmental Quality in the Ministry of Territory and Sustainability, where  led the development and adoption of the “Air Quality Improvement’s Action Plan in Barcelona conurbation”
